This role is for the General Manager of WATR, a rooftop restaurant located within 1 Hotel Austin. WATR brings a vibrant dining experience featuring Japanese-influenced cuisine set against a backdrop of stunning lake views and an open, airy ambiance. This position is a full-time leadership opportunity with a focus on elevating both the culinary and beverage experience. The General Manager will be responsible for driving operations in a manner that blends exceptional guest service with sound financial management. Ideal candidates possess a minimum of eight years' experience in upscale luxury food and beverage roles, with at least five years dedicated to leading food and beverage teams. The role demands strong expertise in food and beverage operations, with an emphasis on beverage knowledge to complement the unique dining experience at WATR.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this leadership position, which requires the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members. The successful candidate will be a dynamic people magnet who leads by example, readily stepping into operations to achieve outstanding results. Flexibility is critical, as the role demands meeting the challenges of a 24-hour operation while maintaining high standards in service and quality. Candidates with a post-secondary diploma or degree will find this advantageous.
