The role of the Store Manager at Spilled Milk Ice Cream & Cereal Bar is a leadership position central to the successful operation of the store. This full-time position requires a dedicated leader who can recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach, and counsel Team Members to build and sustain a motivated workforce. The Store Manager leads by example, performing all Team Member job duties when needed, including scooping, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing the functionality of all equipment essential to store operations. Responsible for scheduling, reporting, and enforcing corporate policies, the manager ensures the store operates within compliance guidelines covering safety, sanitation, local regulations, and company standards.
The position demands a candidate who is proactive in managing inventory and purchasing, controlling costs, and analyzing operational efficiency. They collaborate with both Store Team members and Corporate Support Center representatives to implement improvements and resolve any issues related to menu items, service quality, recipes, pricing, and equipment. Regular reporting on sales, tip data, temperature logs, receiving logs, and self-assessment audits is a vital part of maintaining high operational standards. Additionally, the Store Manager fosters a sales-driven culture by driving performance across all sales channels and meeting budget forecasts. This role requires excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to creating a positive workplace atmosphere for Team Members and customers alike. Candidates must hold a current ServSafe Managers Food Handlers certification and be available to work at least 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Duties
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach, and counsel Team Members
- lead a professional, fun, and positive Team Member and Customer experience
- ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations by following and enforcing ServSafe regulations
- foster and lead environment of sales driving in all channels to meet sales budgets and forecasts
- compile work schedules and reports
- ensure shop is in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
- perform all Team Member job duties including scooping and other tasks to ensure great customer service
