Job Description
This distinguished establishment is a leading hotel committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence across all its departments. As a key player in the hospitality industry, the hotel offers a comprehensive range of services including lodging, food and beverage outlets, sales, engineering, human resources, and accounting. The company prides itself on fostering a people-first culture that values innovation, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. Employees at this hotel are encouraged to engage fully with guests and colleagues alike to ensure a seamless and welcoming atmosphere. The organization invests heavily in career development and advancement opportunities, creating a dynamic workplace environment that both challenges and rewards its team members. The hotel emphasizes sustainable operational practices and long-term asset value, aligning with industry best practices and ensuring continued success and growth in competitive markets.
The role of General Manager is a critical leadership position entrusted with the full operational control and strategic oversight of the hotel and its various outlets. This position requires a visionary leader who can manage diverse departments including hotel operations, food and beverage services, sales, engineering, human resources, and financial accounting. The General Manager plays an integral role in upholding company standards and spearheading the execution of the Five Key Drivers essential to the hotel’s success: Associate Engagement; Guest and Resident Experience; Revenue Growth and Commercial Performance; Cost Discipline and Operational Efficiency; and Asset Value and Long-Term Sustainability. These drivers are fundamental in translating strategic goals into measurable outcomes and day-to-day operational focus.
The General Manager is responsible for cultivating an exceptional culture of guest service, promoting courtesy, goodwill, and positivity in every interaction within the hotel. This role demands a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs, promptly responding to inquiries, and ensuring positive guest relations throughout their stay. Additionally, the General Manager is expected to skillfully resolve guest complaints, organize special programs and incentives aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction, and lead the Executive Committee effectively to achieve the property’s goals.
Financial oversight is another critical component, involving forecasting, profit and loss management, and maximizing revenue through effective pricing and product quality standards in rooms, banquet sales, and food and beverage operations. The General Manager also invests in coaching and developing leadership talent within the hotel to surpass performance expectations and sustain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $150,000 to $170,000 annually, complemented by a quarterly incentive plan offering up to 50% of the quarterly earned salary based on performance metrics. Additional benefits include comprehensive health coverages such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, generous paid time off including vacation, holidays, and personal days, and attractive perks such as discounted hotel stays across the company’s portfolio. The hotel fosters a collaborative environment that supports career growth and innovation, making it an excellent place for a motivated General Manager to thrive and lead a successful team.
