Job Description

Hilton is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through its various portfolio brands. Among its offerings, the select-service, extended-stay hotels stand out as a unique segment tailored for guests seeking comfortable and convenient longer-term accommodations. These hotels blend the high standards of the Hilton brand with tailored services and amenities designed specifically to meet the needs of extended-stay travelers, including corporate clients, relocating individuals, and families requiring longer stays. Hilton operates on a strong foundation of brand standards, cutting-edge technology platforms, and a deep commitment to employee engagement and customer satisfaction. The company’s dedication to quality and consistency is reflected in its robust training programs, innovative operational tools, and an empowering workplace culture that supports both team members and guest success.

The role of General Manager for a select-service, extended-stay Hilton-branded property is a pivotal leadership position that requires a seasoned hospitality professional with extensive experience managing operations within the Hilton system. This role involves overseeing all facets of hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Breakfast/Market areas, and Engineering/Maintenance, to ensure seamless and memorable guest experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the hotel's financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, while maximizing revenue streams such as RevPAR, ADR, occupancy rates, and length of stay. They will partner closely with sales and revenue management teams to capitalize on corporate, relocation, and extended-stay business opportunities, ensuring robust profitability.

Key to this leadership role is maintaining full compliance with Hilton brand standards and quality assurance audits, which are critical to preserving the brand's reputation and guest loyalty. The General Manager will leverage Hilton's Property Engagement Platform (PEP) to manage operational tasks, employee engagement, training compliance, and brand communications. This hands-on leader will cultivate a positive workplace culture, recruit and mentor a lean but highly effective leadership team and staff, conduct performance reviews, and develop succession plans to maintain organizational health and reduce turnover.

Guest satisfaction is central to the role, as the General Manager will champion a guest-first culture that drives high scores through programs like Hilton Honors and Medallia/GSS. Resolving complex guest concerns with professionalism and implementing tailored service recovery initiatives are essential functions, especially given the extended-stay nature of the hotel's clientele. Furthermore, the General Manager will oversee compliance with health, safety, labor, and brand regulations, ensuring the property remains audit-ready and well-prepared for safety and risk management challenges.

For candidates, a minimum of 3 to 5 years of General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience within a Hilton-branded select-service or extended-stay environment is mandatory. Direct experience with Hilton's Property Engagement Platform (PEP) and strong knowledge of Hilton systems, including OnQ PMS and brand-specific QA tools, is required. Candidates should have a proven track record of achieving financial targets, guest satisfaction scores, and quality audit results, supported by excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, along with financial acumen for managing P&L, budgeting, and forecasting. Flexibility to work extended hours and legal authorization to work in the United States are also essential.

Preferred qualifications include experience managing properties with 100-150+ suites, familiarity with Hilton’s extended-stay/select-service portfolio, Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation, and exposure to corporate/relocation or long-term-stay market segments. This role is uniquely positioned for an energetic, results-driven hospitality leader ready to make a significant impact within one of the world’s leading hotel brands, combining operational excellence, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction in a thriving extended-stay environment.
