With multi-generational expertise and a commitment to service excellence, SHG operates over 200 locations across 38 states in the U.S. and three countries internationally. This diverse portfolio encompasses renowned global brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt, alongside independent, boutique, and lifestyle properties and restaurants. SHG's enduring success stems from a company culture focused on authentic hospitality, respect, and prioritizing stakeholder needs, both internal and external. The company fosters an environment that values continuous improvement and positive impact, making it a sought-after employer in the hospitality sector.
As a General Manager at Schulte Hospitality Group, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and guest satisfaction across one of our distinguished properties. This position demands a dynamic, service-oriented leader who is adept at managing comprehensive hotel functions, including financial management, staff leadership, vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements. The General Manager will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of service quality while overseeing day-to-day operations to deliver memorable guest experiences. This role offers the opportunity for career growth within a rapidly expanding organization that values and invests in its people.
Joining SHG means becoming part of an inclusive and employee-focused workplace where professional development is a key priority. Employees are empowered and encouraged to grow with the company, benefiting from a flexible and rewarding work environment that promotes work-life balance. SHG provides a robust benefits package that supports well-being from day one, including innovative programs like Daily Pay, which allows employees to access earned wages immediately, and free telemedicine and virtual mental health care for all associates. Additional benefits include multiple health and life insurance options, a 401k plan with company match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, and an employee assistance program. Associates also have access to exclusive discounts on event tickets, electronics, gym memberships, and more through the Schulte Savings Marketplace.
The General Manager will be expected to lead by example, with responsibilities spanning budget management, statistical and financial record keeping, setting sales and profit targets, recruitment and training, work schedule planning, guest relations, problem-solving, and ensuring smooth execution of events and conferences. Preserving hotel assets is a critical function of the role, encompassing the supervision of maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings, as well as maintaining strong relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers. Safety and security for guests and associates are paramount, along with maintaining compliance with all licensing, health, safety, and statutory regulations. The General Manager must ensure that the property aligns with brand guidelines and consistently meets or exceeds standards of service.
This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, financial acumen, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Candidates should possess the leadership qualities necessary to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively. The hiring process may include phone and manager interviews, drug screening, background and reference checks, and a potential employment assessment. Schulte Hospitality Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to assembling a diverse and talented workforce committed to hospitality excellence and employee satisfaction.
