Villa Restaurant Group is currently seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead its Villa Fresh Italian quick service restaurant team located at La Palmera Mall in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role demands a hands-on leader comfortable with a fast-paced environment, focusing on overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring an exceptional experience for both guests and team members. Responsibilities span managing team leadership, guest service, food quality, staffing, training, inventory management, and financial performance, along with maintaining compliance with company standards.

The General Manager will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, ensuring the restaurant meets high standards in food preparation and presentation while fostering a positive, professional, and team-oriented workspace. This role requires strong financial oversight, including monitoring labor costs, food costs, sales, and ensuring efficient cash handling and inventory controls. The candidate will also develop strategies to enhance sales and profitability, conduct team meetings, provide ongoing feedback, and act as a liaison with mall management and company leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience
  • general manager experience is preferred
  • quick-service or fast-casual restaurant experience is strongly preferred
  • strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • experience managing labor, food costs, inventory, scheduling, and restaurant financial performance
  • ability to recruit, train, motivate, and retain a high-performing team
  • strong problem-solving and guest-service skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure
  • food safety certification is preferred or must be obtained within the required timeframe
