Job Description
We are a veteran, minority, and family-owned restaurant company with deep roots in North Carolina, known for serving plates made exclusively with all-natural ingredients, free from added hormones and FDA allergens. Our signature dish, Pollo a la Brasa—marinated and slow-roasted over wood charcoal—has earned a reputation as the best chicken in the Triangle area. With this strong local reputation, we are expanding our presence to Greensboro and are seeking a passionate, driven leader to open and manage this new location.
This is not a caretaker position; rather, it is an exciting opportunity to build a restaurant from the ground up. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for assembling a new team, establishing the culture, and setting high standards that will impact the store's subsequent operations and success. Your leadership will play a crucial role in driving the brand’s values forward and ensuring that every guest who walks in enjoys the highest quality food and service.
The role offers a competitive annual salary between $55,000 and $60,000, supplemented by a monthly General Manager performance bonus. Other benefits include paid time off, one free meal per shift, 20% off on days off, and major holidays off, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. As the General Manager, you will oversee all operational aspects of the Greensboro location, including recruiting, hiring, and training staff. You will be expected to drive daily sales, maintain guest satisfaction scores, and maximize store-level profitability. Additional responsibilities include managing scheduling, food ordering, inventory controls, and labor cost management. Maintaining a safe, sanitary, and fully compliant operation with no shortcuts is a top priority.
Effective communication skills are essential, as you will interact regularly with the Area Operations Director, peer General Managers, and various support departments such as Catering, Administration, IT, Maintenance, and Events. You will also manage vendor and property relationships to ensure the smooth running of the location.
This leadership role requires a commitment of 50 to 55 hours per week, including nights and weekends. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of fast-casual restaurant management experience, a track record of driving sales and controlling expenses, and strong team-building abilities. Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office is essential, as is a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. A high school diploma or GED is required, while candidates with P&L and budgeting experience, a bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management, and bilingual skills in English and Spanish will be strongly preferred.
