The available position is for a General Manager at Dundee Hills Resort, a full-time role offering a competitive annual base salary ranging from $53,000 to $55,000. The compensation package is attractive, featuring payment for all hours worked, a complimentary RV site with utilities, generous paid time off, and career-oriented benefits including major medical health insurance and a matching 401k plan after six months of employment. The General Manager will report directly to Horizon Outdoor Hospitality and play a pivotal role in ensuring the resort continues to excel as a leading destination.
This role demands an energetic, creative, and entrepreneurial leader with a passion for hospitality and the great outdoors. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of five years in resort operations, including at least three years at the General Manager level. Prior experience managing an RV resort is highly preferred. The General Manager will take ownership of the resort's day-to-day operations, working closely with their team to deliver world-class hospitality and create outstanding guest experiences.
Key responsibilities include managing budgets and retail sales operations, overseeing campground infrastructure, and building and leading a motivated, guest-focused team. The ideal candidate must be adept at personnel management and possess solid problem-solving skills, creativity, and a keen ability to foster positive guest relations. Familiarity with reservation software and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dropbox are essential administrative skills for this role.
In addition to operational leadership, this position requires strong coaching and training abilities, enabling team members to perform at their best. The General Manager must be comfortable making independent decisions and proactively addressing challenges to ensure the smooth functioning of resort facilities and services. Physical demands of this position include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to sixty pounds, and long periods of sitting, reflecting the hands-on nature of this leadership role.
