Job Requirements
- At least five years of progressive experience in a general manager role at a property of similar size and level of service
- Working knowledge of all applicable laws, codes and regulations
- Strong communication skills including the ability to write contracts, reports, business correspondence, and operations manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers, clients, guests or the general public
- Strong general management skills including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results
- Strong financial management skills including budget management, expense control, forecasting and analysis of financial statements
- Strong people management skills including coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling and relationship-building
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide overall direction, coordination and leadership for all departments in the property
- Support all group sales outreach, negotiations, planning and service
- Liaise with community organizations, city officials, industry associations and public relations entities
- Ensure implementation of standards, policies and procedures across departments
- Participate in preparation of annual operating budget and financial plans
- Create and monitor annual operating goals covering financial, guest, infrastructure, and learning and growth aspects
- Collaborate with department leaders to meet budgetary guidelines and develop pricing policies
- Review and approve operating expenses and strategize to enhance profitability and revenue
- Direct preparation, production, and distribution of required reports
- Protect and enhance property assets through maintenance, security, emergency preparedness, and capital improvements
- Analyze guest feedback and implement service improvements
- Promote the property by maintaining an active community and industry presence
- Select, supervise, train, develop, schedule, discipline, and counsel staff with positive leadership
- Provide timely formal assessments of team members in alignment with performance review policies
- Conduct training on job standards and responsibilities as needed
