Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or equivalent experience
- five or more years relevant experience in supply chain, logistics or related field
- five or more years managing and developing teams
- experience managing large, multi-level teams
- three or more years experience in project management and implementing logistics solutions
- knowledge of LEAN work environments preferred
- profit and loss responsibility preferred
- customer interaction experience
- experience managing customer KPIs
- advanced knowledge of logistics industry and Ryder safety programs
- intermediate financial reporting and accounting skills
- intermediate PC skills
- advanced RD2000 system skills
- advanced knowledge of Ryder products and pricing models
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field or equivalent experience
- master’s degree preferred
- five or more years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or related field
- five or more years managing and leading teams
- experience managing large multi-level teams
- three or more years of project management and logistics solution implementation
- experience in LEAN work environment preferred
- prior profit and loss responsibility preferred
- customer interaction experience
- experience managing customer KPIs
- some sales experience preferred
- some multi-client experience preferred
- advanced knowledge of RD/logistics/transportation industry
- advanced knowledge of Ryder safety programs
- intermediate knowledge of financial reporting and accounting procedures
- intermediate PC skills including Microsoft Office
- advanced knowledge of RD2000 computer system
- advanced knowledge of Ryder products, services, sales process, and pricing models
Job Duties
- Set goals and perform skills assessments
- develop individual development plans and conduct performance evaluations
- provide ongoing employee feedback and disciplinary actions
- develop direct and indirect reports and provide relevant HR skills training
- select qualified personnel and maintain staffing levels
- create and maintain location processes and cross-train employees
- resolve customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction
- monitor and improve key performance indicators
- train staff in transportation and distribution management
- improve employee retention and reduce accidents
- review and reduce unnecessary overtime
- follow up on safety reporting and first reports of injuries
- recommend process improvements and conduct self-audits
- conduct SOX invoice reconciliation and revenue recognition preparation
- invoice customers
- perform additional duties as assigned
