The role of General Manager of Concessions at The Ballpark at America First Square is pivotal in maintaining Levy's high standards in concessions operations. This position is full-time with a salary range based on experience and qualifications. The selected candidate will oversee the entire concessions operation, ensuring the delivery of excellent guest service, effective human resource management, and sound financial stewardship. As General Manager, you will be the face of Levy to both team members and guests, embodying the company’s philosophies and culture.

This role involves leading a diverse team, from hiring and training to development and performance management. You will be tasked with maintaining show quality standards, managing costs, and upholding all safety, security, and sanitation regulations. The General Manager will build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to foster a collaborative workplace and deliver exceptional service. You will also ensure menu execution aligns with Levy’s standards and help implement operational plans to support business growth and efficiency.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the role requires a high level of accountability for financial results, including meeting sales and budget goals. Forecasting and scheduling team members to optimize operational coverage and productivity is another critical component of this position. The General Manager will support company initiatives and serve as a mentor to department managers, helping to develop their leadership capabilities within the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage operational positions
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management is preferred
  • Must demonstrate high level of computer literacy
  • Passion for hospitality industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to lead and develop teams
  • Capable of managing financial goals and operational standards

Job Duties

  • Hold team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service
  • Ensure that team members consistently deliver heartfelt hospitality to every guest, every time
  • Ensure team members have the tools necessary to complete their jobs
  • Maintain show quality standards at all times
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits, and team members
  • Obtain regularly feedback from clients and guests to improve operations
  • Support and communicate Levy initiatives
  • Respond and assist in any departmental guest service issues
  • Execute all menus, promotions, and programs as outlined by the Director of Operations
  • Act as liaison with partners operational team, Levy team, and other areas to ensure efficient operations
  • Ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs in FOH and BOH for every event
  • Ensure adherence to all security, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Achieve daily sales and assigned cost goals
  • Achieve assigned budget goals
  • Plan and order adequate products and equipment for business levels
  • Employ safety and sanitation practices
  • Practice proper product control and inventory handling
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service policies
  • Ensure team members comply with Levy guidelines
  • Forecast and schedule team members to meet operational needs
  • Use performance management tools to guide and provide feedback
  • Promote a cooperative work climate maximizing productivity and morale
  • Conduct regular meetings to ensure communication
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop team members
  • Mentor department managers to develop skills and leadership abilities
  • Perform other duties as needed
