Scheduled to open in 2027, this boutique hotel is housed in the historic King Cole Building, a renowned architectural landmark that adds character and charm to the property. The role of General Manager at Motto by Hilton Indianapolis carries significant responsibility and presents an exciting opportunity to lead the hotel's pre-opening and operational launch. This is a full-time leadership position tasked with delivering an exceptional culture, superior guest experience, and a strong operational foundation that aligns seamlessly with the Motto brand values. The General Manager will oversee all facets of the hotel's pre-opening activities, including managing the pre-opening budget, implementing cost controls, procuring operating supplies and equipment, recruiting and developing a high-performing team, and building lasting community relationships. Ensuring that the hotel opens on-time, on-budget, and at a high standard of excellence is paramount to the success of this role.

In addition to the operational responsibilities, the General Manager will foster strong partnerships with ownership groups, team members, customers, and stakeholders. This role requires strategic leadership to drive operational efficiency, deliver standout guest service experiences, and achieve long-term financial success. The successful candidate will lead the property through the initial launch and into sustained growth, creating a roadmap for success that reflects both the owner’s vision and the unique culture of the Motto by Hilton brand.

Applicants for this role should demonstrate a minimum of two years’ experience as a hotel manager or five years in an executive role within similarly sized or larger properties. Experience managing annual revenues of $15 million or more, solid commercial acumen, financial management capabilities, and expertise in revenue optimization are essential. Strong people leadership skills are required to motivate teams, build a culture of accountability and collaboration, and nurture talent development. The ideal General Manager will have strategic relationships skills to cultivate community partnerships and balance stakeholder interests while maintaining compliance with all industry legal and risk standards.
