Job Description

Valencia Hotel Group is a vibrant and expanding collection of boutique hotels passionately dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Known for fostering a culture rich in respect, creativity, and shared commitment, Valencia Hotel Group stands out by cultivating a workplace environment where team members feel valued and inspired. This company champions the individual, encourages personal and professional growth, and prioritizes promoting from within, making it an ideal employer for those building a long-term career in the hospitality industry. The group's unique approach to hospitality transcends traditional expectations, focusing on heartfelt service that creates not only memorable guest experiences but also deep connections within its teams and the communities it serves.

Located in Austin, Texas, Lone Star Court represents Valencia Hotel Group's inaugural "court-style" boutique hotel concept. Nestled in The Domain, one of Austin's most dynamic mixed-use developments, Lone Star Court embodies an authentic Austin atmosphere with a retro motor-court aesthetic that captures the spirit of Texas Hill Country. The property features 123 vintage-inspired rooms, live music around a cozy fire pit, a dipping pool reminiscent of local swimming holes, and The Water Trough, its signature dining venue. As the General Manager of Lone Star Court, you will take on the critical responsibility of being the chief culture builder, operational leader, and financial steward of this unique property.

In this full-time leadership role, you will be charged with consistent delivery of an outstanding guest experience rooted in the company's proprietary Timeless Hospitality® approach, which aims to warmly welcome each guest with genuine care and attention to detail. You will cultivate a thriving, high-performance culture among team members, ensuring engagement, development, and alignment with the group’s core values and Lone Star Court's Austin-centric personality. Oversight of daily operations to guarantee exceptional service, property upkeep, employee engagement, and safety compliance will also be key to your responsibilities.

Financial acumen is a crucial component of this position as you will be entrusted with full profit and loss responsibility, managing budgets, forecasts, capital planning, and implementing stringent financial controls to optimize profitability while preserving the brand's experiential standards. Collaboration with sales, marketing, and revenue management teams will be essential as you identify opportunities to maximize revenue streams within the competitive Austin hospitality market, leveraging the property's strategic location in The Domain.

Additionally, your role extends beyond operations and finance to brand stewardship and community engagement. Lone Star Court's distinctive retro and Austin-inspired design must be consistently upheld, while also fostering strong ties with local businesses, tourism boards, and cultural entities. Representing both Lone Star Court and Valencia Hotel Group in the broader community, you will embody the brands' values and participate actively in group-wide leadership initiatives.

This role demands a seasoned hospitality leader with 7-10 plus years of progressive experience in boutique, lifestyle, or full-service hotels, demonstrating success in cultivating culture, leading teams, financial oversight, and elevating guest satisfaction metrics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality software platforms (PMS, POS, reporting systems) is expected, along with the flexibility to work varied hours and travel as required for corporate engagements.

Embrace the opportunity to lead a unique Austin property with a passionate team, deliver operational excellence, and drive strategic growth in a vibrant hospitality environment where your career potential is limitless and your ideas are truly valued.
