Job Description

LeSuprême is a sophisticated French-inspired brasserie located in Detroit's iconic Book Tower, a landmark known for its historical significance and architectural beauty. The restaurant prides itself on blending classic French culinary techniques with a modern approach, offering guests an elegant and lively dining experience. LeSuprême is part of the Method Co. portfolio, a boutique hospitality group known for its commitment to design-driven hospitality and culturally relevant experiences. Method Co. operates a variety of hotels, restaurants, and residences throughout the United States, focusing on delivering elevated aesthetics coupled with thoughtful service.

The role of General Manager at LeSuprême is pivotal in maintaining the restaurant’s high standards and reputation. This leadership position requires a dynamic individual who possesses extensive experience in upscale or fine dining restaurants and can oversee all aspects of restaurant operations. The General Manager will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring operational discipline, and fostering a strong, high-performing team. This position demands a person passionate about hospitality and dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences through an intuitive understanding of service and attention to detail.

As General Manager, you will lead both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, inspiring them to excel while cultivating a culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement. You will act as an engaged and visible presence on the dining floor, setting the tone for service and guest interaction. Operationally, your duties include management of the daily restaurant workflow, maintaining service and food standards aligned with the LeSuprême brand, and partnering with culinary leadership to ensure smooth FOH and BOH collaboration.

Financial stewardship is a critical aspect of the role. You will own and manage the profit and loss statements, labor costs, budgeting, forecasting, and cost of goods metrics to secure profitability. Moreover, you will lead initiatives to increase revenue through targeted programming, enhancing the guest experience, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Guest experience is paramount at LeSuprême. As General Manager, you will champion exceptional and personalized service, quickly and professionally addressing guest feedback, and nurturing relationships with returning patrons and the broader Detroit community, including VIP guests. Talent acquisition, development, and retention fall under your leadership, with responsibilities that include recruiting staff, providing ongoing coaching, managing performance, and creating professional growth paths to build a motivated workforce.

Collaboration is another important aspect, as you will work closely with marketing and events teams to support restaurant programming and activations. Additionally, you'll ensure the design and experiential integrity of the dining space are upheld and partner with hotel leadership at Book Tower to align operations across the mixed-use property.

This role offers a competitive salary complemented by a performance-based bonus, alongside opportunities for significant career growth within a forward-thinking hospitality company. LeSuprême and Method Co. provide a collaborative, design-forward, and people-first culture for an enriching work environment where leadership and innovation are encouraged. Joining LeSuprême means leading one of Detroit’s most exciting and culturally rich restaurant concepts, deeply rooted in community and excellence.
