Job Description

Lapper Sports Bar + Kitchen is an energetic and vibrant dining establishment located within the renowned Town and Country Resort in Mission Valley, California. This sports bar stands out with its high-energy environment, larger-than-life screens, and a focus on creating an unforgettable guest experience. Known for its lively atmosphere, Lapper Sports Bar + Kitchen offers much more than just food and drinks; it is a hub where sports enthusiasts gather to enjoy great hospitality, fantastic service, and an inviting environment that captures the true spirit of Southern California. As part of the expansive Town and Country Resort, which spans over 23 acres, the bar benefits from an iconic setting that blends mid-century charm with modern SoCal energy, making it a favored destination for locals and visitors alike. The resort features 671 renovated guestrooms and suites, multiple dining outlets—including ARLO, Lap It Up, and The MRKT—extensive indoor and outdoor event spaces, and a sprawling pool complex with three pools, a waterslide, cabanas, and fire pits. This setting ensures that whether guests are here for a casual lunch, an evening out, or a large-scale gathering, every visit is memorable and lively.

The Restaurant Manager role at Lapper Sports Bar + Kitchen is a leadership position responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. This role requires an individual who can confidently run the floor, coach and inspire a team, and maintain the unique and fast-paced vibe that defines Lapper. The manager will be entrusted with leading, training, and supporting the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional guest experiences consistently. Beyond just managing day-to-day operations, this role involves coordinating floor coverage and staffing, especially during peak meal times, special events, and game days, ensuring every guest gets attentive and prompt service. The Restaurant Manager will also monitor food quality, beverage presentation, and overall cleanliness to uphold the highest standards. Additionally, responding quickly and professionally to guest concerns, assisting with scheduling and labor management, and working closely with kitchen and leadership teams are essential to achieving operational goals. This position also focuses on maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and company policies, fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for both guests and employees.

Candidates suitable for this role will have at least two years of restaurant management or supervisory experience, preferably in a high-volume, full-service establishment. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for hospitality are critical. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting where adaptability and calmness under pressure are necessary. Working knowledge of food and beverage operations and a hospitality mindset filled with urgency, humor, and dedication to creating memorable experiences are equally important. This role offers a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the dynamic needs of the restaurant and its guests.

Joining Lapper Sports Bar + Kitchen and Town and Country Resort comes with valuable team perks, including complimentary stays for employees and their families, free daily lunches in the employee cafeteria, free parking, a 401(k) retirement plan, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additionally, employer-paid life insurance is offered to full-time team members for added peace of mind. As a part of the Lapper team, the Restaurant Manager will contribute to an energized, guest-focused culture that is unmistakably Southern California.
