The company prioritizes reliability, integrity, and simplicity in its mission, aiming to make every workday fulfilling and enjoyable while ensuring travelers experience top-notch service.

The General Manager II (GMII) position at HMSHost is a critical leadership role focused on managing a complex Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Casual Dine Restaurant, or a small cluster of restaurants or points-of-sale situated in close proximity with an annual sales volume generally exceeding $4 million. This role requires an individual who can make well-informed, broad-scope decisions and exhibit strong leadership qualities to guide their team toward achieving business objectives. The GMII is responsible for ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly from opening to closing, adhering to company policies and financial goals. The GMII manages a diverse team of assistant managers and staff, fostering an environment of employee engagement by demonstrating defined managerial behaviors that inspire motivation and productivity. Through effective scheduling, coaching, and performance recognition, the GMII ensures all shifts are adequately staffed and that employees receive necessary support and training to excel in their roles. This includes overseeing recruiting efforts, interviewing candidates, and making decisions regarding hiring, promotions, and terminations.

Furthermore, the General Manager II embraces and promotes HMSHost's commitment to diversity and inclusion by implementing these principles within their restaurant unit. They maintain compliance with onboarding and offboarding processes, facilitate appropriate training, and ensure all associates have the necessary credentials and information. In addition to operational tasks, the GMII participates in employee recognition programs and champions all employee engagement behaviors promoted by HMSHost, creating a positive and productive workplace culture. The role involves a fine balance of financial acumen, human resource management, and customer service skills, making it ideal for driven individuals passionate about hospitality management in fast-paced environments.

The annual salary for this esteemed position ranges from $67,712 to $75,236, reflecting the level of expertise and responsibility required. This full-time position offers a dynamic and rewarding career path within a reputable and supportive organization committed to the personal and professional growth of its team members.
