The General Manager role at Dish Society's Houston locations offers an exciting opportunity for hospitality professionals who are passionate about leadership and exceptional guest service. Key responsibilities include managing financial performance by controlling labor costs, inventory, and store-level profit and loss metrics. The General Manager upholds operational and service standards across all dayparts and coaches team members to create growth opportunities. Scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management are also crucial components of the role. Additionally, the General Manager ensures food safety, cleanliness, and full compliance with all health regulations, while leading by example during peak business hours.
Dish Society seeks candidates with 2 or more years of experience as a General Manager in a restaurant setting, preferably within fast casual, upscale casual, or full-service environments. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills are essential, as is the ability to manage labor, inventory, and financial goals effectively. The company values passion for hospitality, great food, and delivering memorable guest experiences. Candidates must also be prepared to work 50 to 60 hours per week, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Preferred certifications include ServSafe and TABC.
