Job Description
The Salty Donut is a vibrant, chef-driven craft donut and coffee shop renowned for its small-batch flavors, high-quality ingredients, and unforgettable guest experiences. Starting from a humble vintage camper, The Salty Donut has blossomed into a nationally beloved brand with a loyal community of customers who admire its creative approach to baking and dedication to hospitality. As a growing fast-casual company, they prioritize culture, quality, and innovation in every aspect of their operations. Their commitment to crafting unique donut flavors and exceptional coffee beverages creates a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that attracts both locals and tourists alike. This company thrives on energetic, team-oriented individuals who are passionate about food, service, and building a welcoming community environment.
The role of General Manager at The Salty Donut is an exciting opportunity for dynamic hospitality leaders who excel in fast-paced environments and have a passion for team development. This leadership position involves managing one of their retail shops, overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences and smooth daily operations. The General Manager is a pivotal figure in driving The Salty Donut’s culture, quality standards, and store performance. They lead by example, fostering a positive, people-first leadership style that motivates employees and aligns with the brand’s mission. This role requires hands-on management of various operational aspects, including scheduling, labor management, inventory control, product quality, and customer service consistency across all touchpoints.
Additionally, the General Manager is responsible for meeting key performance indicators such as profit and loss, cost of goods sold, labor costs, sales growth, and customer satisfaction metrics. Managing special projects like catering, community events, and brand activations also falls within this role, providing a scope that reaches beyond day-to-day store management into strategic local brand building. The company offers a competitive salary with monthly bonuses, a flexible work schedule averaging 45-50 hours per week, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement within a rapidly expanding brand. This role is suitable for candidates with at least four years of hospitality or food and beverage management experience, strong operational knowledge, and a calm, confident leadership presence in high-volume settings. Those who thrive in this position will bring a positive, coachable attitude and a genuine desire to grow alongside an innovative, fast-moving company dedicated to quality and hospitality excellence.
