The role of General Manager (GM) at DSV is a strategic and highly visible leadership position based in Clarksville, Tennessee, within the Solutions division. This salaried role is responsible for the overall management of the designated operations, including the strategic direction, compliance, and financial results. The GM serves as the primary customer interface for leadership decisions related to proposal approvals and contract negotiations, ensuring that operational activities align with both customer expectations and DSV’s corporate mission and values. Key responsibilities include overseeing manpower, recruitment, retention, and development, as well as guaranteeing client service, maintaining facilities and equipment, and pursuing continuous improvement through methodologies such as LEAN practices, Six Sigma initiatives, and ISO compliance. The GM leads safety programs and ensures adherence to regulatory standards from agencies like OSHA and DOT. Additionally, the GM drives labor management by developing teams, promoting management education, and ensuring a motivating culture aligned with the company’s mission and values. Financial oversight includes budgeting, cost control, and ensuring profit standards are met. The GM also champions customer relationship management, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conducting business reviews, and helping to grow new business opportunities through marketing plans and strategic initiatives. Job Requirements

- 5 years experience in leadership role in logistics, distribution, or supply chain environment
- Varied industry vertical experience preferred
- 3PL management experience strongly preferred
Job Duties
- Oversee manpower, recruiting, retention, and development of people for the operation
- Ensure procedures exist to guarantee client service, productivity, and maintenance of facilities and equipment
- Set goals to provide continuous improvement for assigned site
- Responsible for the overall safety and security of operations and staff
- Maintain positive safety metrics and support site safety programs
- Develop teams to achieve company and client objectives
- Train and educate management to meet service requirements
- Communicate mission, vision, and core values to motivate staff
- Support mentoring, succession planning, and management development
- Develop plans and capital requests for appropriate level of technology
- Stay abreast of industry trends and WMS technology
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and manage the operating budget
- Ensure service levels and performance goals are met within cost, revenue, and profit parameters
- Act as site level champion of client relationship management
- Monitor and implement KPIs
- Coordinate and lead business reviews with clients
- Participate in local trade, professional, and civic associations
- Perform other duties as required
