Job Description

Flores Food Group is an innovative mobile dining solutions company that specializes in providing high-quality food service through custom-built commercial kitchen food trailers, mobile food delivery vehicles, and in-plant hot food market locations. As the exclusive food service provider at two major Ford Motor Company manufacturing facilities in Louisville, Kentucky, Flores Food Group plays a crucial role in serving a diverse group of customers including Ford employees, engineers, contractors, and vendors. Their focus on fast-growing, state-of-the-art mobile dining solutions positions them as a leader in the emerging food service industry, combining technology with culinary expertise to meet the dynamic needs of a large industrial client base.

The company is currently seeking a General Manager to lead multiple food trailer operations across various locations. This role is unique and goes beyond traditional restaurant management by demanding a leader who can not only manage a kitchen staff but also drive business performance through effective P&L management and strategic leadership. This is a high-volume, non-traditional food service environment where operational excellence, team leadership, and process adherence are critical. The General Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and must be someone who leads by example rather than just managing by authority. Responsibilities include driving sales growth, managing key performance indicators such as revenue, average ticket size, transaction counts, food costs, and labor costs, and overseeing a varied team across multiple food service platforms including food trucks, mobile delivery vehicles, and in-plant markets.

This position demands a hands-on approach, requiring the General Manager to have a strong culinary foundation with the ability to cook, run a kitchen line, manage preparation, and ensure food quality during service. The candidate must handle real-time operational challenges like equipment issues, supply chain interruptions, and staffing shortages effectively. Maintaining strong client relationships and collaborating with stakeholders like plant administration and Ford representatives is also a vital component of the role. The company values proactive problem solving, operational innovation, and the ability to grow the business while maintaining high service standards.

Flores Food Group offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $85,000 depending on qualifications, along with a unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly scaling food service operation. Employees are given direct access to leadership, and their ideas and input are highly valued in shaping the future of the company. Working at Flores Food Group means being part of a caring team with passion for their work and a genuine desire to build something meaningful. The company is looking for candidates who want to take ownership of their role, enjoy the challenge of a large, dynamic environment, and are excited about long-term growth within the organization.
