The role of General Manager at Hardee's is pivotal to the success of each restaurant location. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the full operational management of one of the 36 Hardee's family restaurants. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the General Manager supervises Restaurant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Crew members with the primary goal of ensuring that all team members are guest-focused, team-oriented, and engaged with the local community. This position requires hands-on management, strategic business insight, and a strong ability to motivate and guide staff to meet and exceed performance standards.

As a General Manager, the individual is accountable for maximizing the financial performance and profitability of the restaurant by closely analyzing business performance metrics and initiating corrective measures when necessary. Ensuring that the restaurant consistently offers a high-quality product and customer service experience is a fundamental part of the role, as is upholding the company’s standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. Effective scheduling and staffing to meet guest demands, recruitment, and training of employees, and conducting regular crew meetings are essential responsibilities aimed at promoting a well-organized and efficient operation.

Additionally, the General Manager enforces company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with sanitation, safety, and security regulations to safeguard both staff and customers. Maintenance of the building and equipment, inventory control, cash management, and leading local marketing initiatives are also central to the daily management duties. The role is designed for a dynamic leader who models integrity, drives customer satisfaction, fosters a motivated workforce, and delivers results in alignment with the company’s business plan. Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of college in business, hospitality management or related field or equivalent related experience
  • 3-5 years management experience in a quick service dining concept
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee restaurant operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve toward a positive conclusion
  • Self motivated

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years management experience in a quick service dining concept
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of communicating effectively with customers, staff and co-workers
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record

  • Financial/analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and P&L management
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve toward a positive conclusion

  • Excellent team building skills
  • Proven ability to achieve and maintain desired results
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee restaurant operations

Job Duties

  • Maximizes financial performance and profit of restaurant
  • analyzes business performance initiating appropriate corrective actions when deviations occur from financial expectations
  • Ensures restaurant consistently provides a quality product and customer service experience that delivers total customer satisfaction
  • Ensures the Quality, Service and Cleanliness measures meet or exceed company standards
  • Ensures sufficient staff is scheduled to operate the restaurant and accommodate guest flow
  • Ensuring recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and performance management functions are carried out in accordance to company standards and expectations
  • Conduct crew meetings as needed to discuss operation procedures, promotions, safety, security, training, etc.
  • Complies with company policies, practices and procedures and communicates all changes to team members
  • Ensure all sanitation, safety and security policies and procedures are recognized and enforced to ensure a safe environment for all
  • Maintains building, equipment as well as reports and records based on company standards and in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Leads local store marketing efforts
  • Maintain an adequate supply of products and items necessary to operate the restaurant
  • Control inventory to meet company GAP standard
  • Responsible for all cash
  • Ensure that cash procedures are adhered to
  • Models and encourages shared values by focusing on customer satisfaction and establishing and maintain a high integrity workforce
