The opportunity at Yardstick is to join as the General Manager for the newest location in Preston Valley, Dallas. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of Yardstick’s expanding presence across the city. The General Manager will be a hands-on leader, passionate about growth and excited to build strong, effective teams. This position requires overseeing daily operations of a boutique dog hotel environment, where attention to detail and dedication to both service quality and operational efficiency are paramount.
The General Manager will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring approximately 12 full- and part-time employees, cultivating a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, and care. Operational duties include managing schedules, labor oversight, and ensuring the facility maintains the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization. Beyond the internal responsibilities, the General Manager plays a strategic role in establishing community connections through outreach and fostering local partnerships to enhance the guest experience and elevate the brand presence.
The role demands strong organizational and communication skills, high integrity, and reliability. - Hire train and develop a team of approximately 12 full and part time employees
- Create a strong team culture centered around hospitality accountability and care
- Own scheduling labor management and daily operations
- Deliver exceptional customer and guest experiences
- Maintain a safe clean organized and well run facility
- Oversee inventory supply ordering and facility upkeep
- Build relationships within the Dallas community through outreach and local partnerships
- Work closely with leadership on operational improvements and company growth initiatives
