As part of Marriott International, a global hospitality leader known for its superior service and innovation, this hotel offers business and leisure travelers an exceptional stay experience. The Courtyard brand is tailored especially for business travelers, combining convenience with comfort and modern amenities designed to facilitate productivity and relaxation. This location prides itself on delivering the Courtyard experience, emphasizing outstanding guest service and clean, welcoming environments.

The General Manager is tasked with ensuring that the hotel meets Marriott International's brand standards while driving profitability and fostering a productive work environment. Acting as the strategic business leader, the General Manager works closely with ownership and Marriott’s leadership to deliver a return on investment through effective management and innovative approaches.

Eats, and executing capital improvement projects to keep the property competitive and attractive. Additionally, the role demands building and sustaining strong relationships with key customers, regional sales offices, and stakeholders to promote the property’s market presence.

Human resource management is central to this role, encompassing recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development initiatives that support a motivated and skilled team. The hotel values associates’ professional growth and engagement, and the General Manager is instrumental in facilitating an inclusive and high-performing workplace.

Furthermore, this position involves a complex set of financial responsibilities that include analyzing property performance metrics, managing controllable costs, and ensuring profitability targets are met through diligent oversight and strategic planning. The role requires timely and accurate communication of performance outcomes to the corporate leadership and property owners, along with active participation in business reviews and stakeholder meetings.

Marriott International promotes an inclusive culture where diversity is respected and celebrated. Candidates who are passionate about the hospitality industry, eager to lead a dedicated team, and committed to enhancing guest experiences will find this role rewarding. Joining Courtyard by Marriott Baton Rouge means becoming part of a global network dedicated to professional growth and the pursuit of excellence in the hospitality world, all while contributing to a welcoming community for travelers from all over.
