The General Manager role at LifeWorks is a senior leadership position centered in a fast-paced, high-energy corporate dining environment. This position involves overseeing a large, dynamic account generating revenue of $2.15M or more. The General Manager will lead multiple contracted services, balancing client goals, financial performance, and exceptional customer experiences with equal priority. The role requires managing and inspiring teams across food service and integrated operations, consistently adapting to change with confidence and decisiveness. Strong financial acumen and relationship-building skills are critical for success, as the role demands driving operational results while ensuring safety and compliance with standards. This role demands flexibility, a steady approach to stress, and the ability to partner closely with finance teams to manage budgets and optimize productivity. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred
- Experience in service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment
- Proven management experience leading teams
- Financial management skills including budget creation and analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret and implement contractual requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment when required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management highly preferred
- Experience in service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment
- Proven ability leading through other managers
- Experience creating and managing department budgets and financial controls
- Skilled in crafting product sales strategies and implementing operational programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable interpreting and implementing contract terms and conditions
Job Duties
- Lead a team providing operational expertise in contracted services
- Manage client and community relationships, assessing operations and developing plans to optimize service
- Build, develop, and lead a management team capable of executing organizational objectives
- Recommend methods, resources, and implementation strategies for service improvement and growth
- Partner with finance to manage budgets and enhance financial performance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain records and reports
- Enforce safety standards and business conduct policies at all times
