This role is designed for a dynamic food service manager who will take complete ownership of daily food and nutrition operations. The position requires a balance of hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to inspire and guide a team, drive performance results, and enhance client and customer satisfaction. The food service manager will be responsible for managing people by setting direction, deploying resources effectively, and overseeing activities such as performance evaluations, pay reviews, and crucial hiring and firing decisions. Success in this position is largely achieved through leadership capabilities that influence and negotiate with various parts of the organization to maintain operational excellence.
The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $61,710 to $79,860 and includes eligibility for Sodexo's incentive plan, allowing the employee to earn variable compensation in addition to the base salary. The food service manager will have the opportunity to lead a high-impact team, foster a culture of collaboration, quality, and service excellence, and make a direct difference by shaping the dining experience for clients and customers. This role combines operational responsibilities with the chance to mentor talent at all levels, build strong client partnerships, and maintain financial targets while ensuring compliance and efficiency. It requires a culinary background with expertise in food production, inventory control, and ordering systems, alongside great leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The role is suited for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional service and driving operational results, with a proactive, hands-on management style.
This opportunity not only invites candidates to be part of a company known for leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement but also to enjoy a comprehensive benefits package. Sodexo supports employees' health with medical, dental, and vision care programs, promotes financial wellness through a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and fosters work-life balance with paid time off and company holidays. Additionally, the company encourages ongoing career growth and development through tuition reimbursement and other opportunities.
