We are currently seeking a General Manager / Chef Manager to take the helm of our food service operation at the Fabletics Headquarters in El Segundo, CA. This role is a unique hybrid position that blends culinary excellence with strategic business leadership. Scheduled primarily Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rare evening or weekend commitments, this position offers a balanced work-life arrangement ideal for passionate food professionals who thrive in a fast-paced corporate dining environment. As the site leader, the General Manager / Chef Manager will have full ownership of the corporate café which serves breakfast and lunch alongside a catering program designed to support meetings and special events. Additionally, the manager will oversee a small coffee bar connected to the café, ensuring seamless service during peak business days typically Tuesday through Thursday.

The successful candidate will demonstrate hands-on culinary expertise combined with the ability to lead and inspire a team of four hourly employees. Responsibilities encompass full operational management, from financial oversight including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to client relationship building with Fabletics stakeholders. The role demands a creative and innovative mindset for menu development, operational efficiency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences that reflect Sodexo's high standards. Balancing roughly 70% management duties with 30% culinary engagement, this position offers the autonomy to shape the dining program while supporting the company’s mission to foster a better quality of life through outstanding food service. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years management experience
  • Minimum 2 years functional experience

  • Hands-on chef-manager experience
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to pivot and adjust priorities
  • Experience in corporate dining, catering, or similar environments preferred
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service

Job Duties

  • Serve as the number 1 leader on site, managing all aspects of the operation
  • Build and maintain a strong client relationship with Fabletics stakeholders
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Lead, develop, and support a team of 4 hourly employees
  • Drive the catering program, including production, logistics, and execution
  • Create and execute innovative, fresh menus
  • Manage ordering, inventory, and food cost controls
  • Balance priorities in a dynamic environment (70 percent management / 30 percent culinary)
