This role of General Manager / Chef Manager at Sodexo Corporate Services is based in Allentown, PA, centered around managing and leading culinary operations at a prestigious corporate account. It is a unique opportunity for culinary professionals seeking a weekday-only schedule, with no nights or weekends, promoting an excellent work-life balance. As the on-site leader and executive chef, you will be responsible for a comprehensive food service program that includes a full-service Corporate Café serving breakfast and lunch, catering operations for high-profile meetings and events, and managing two Micro-Markets located on-site and nearby. This leadership position demands a culinary visionary who can innovate menus, oversee catering and grab-and-go offerings, and inspire a team to deliver superior dining experiences.
The role offers creative freedom to design and influence the food service program while managing operational aspects such as budgeting, inventory, and human resource tasks including scheduling and team development. The general manager will balance a 70/30 split between hands-on culinary work and administrative responsibilities. This balance enables the person in this role to remain actively engaged in kitchen operations while exercising strategic oversight to drive efficiency and excellence.

Job Requirements
- associate's degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 2 years of management experience
- minimum 2 years of functional culinary experience
- ability to work Monday through Friday, 6am to 4pm
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- valid food safety certification
- capability to handle hands-on culinary duties and administrative responsibilities
