Job Description

Five Guys is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain renowned for its commitment to delivering high-quality burgers, fries, and shakes in an inviting and friendly environment. Founded on the principles of quality ingredients and exceptional customer service, Five Guys has grown significantly over the years, expanding to more than 1,000 locations across North America. The company prides itself on maintaining a vibrant, team-oriented culture that values humility, excellence, integrity, and leadership by example. Employees are encouraged to contribute meaningfully to the customer experience and the overall success of the restaurant, making Five Guys not just a workplace, but a community. As a family business, Five Guys emphasizes doing things the right way for the right reasons, creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where everyone can thrive.

This position offers a starting pay of $60,000 to $70,000 annually, with eligibility for performance-based bonus rewards. The hours of operation are realistic, with most locations open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, and notably, no drive-thru services, which contributes to a balanced and manageable work environment. The role also includes comprehensive and customizable benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and access to an Employee Assistance Program and Employee Relief Fund. General Managers and Assistant Managers benefit from up to 12 weeks of paid Family Bonding Leave with immediate eligibility, reflecting Five Guys' commitment to work-life balance and employee welfare.

The role focuses heavily on leadership within the restaurant industry, requiring candidates to have more than two years of leadership experience with responsibility for financial outcomes. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for creating a great work environment, exceptional customer service skills, and an energetic, motivational leadership style. The company values honesty, energy, a fun attitude, and setting high standards both personally and for the team. The core convictions of Five Guys – remain humble, exceed expectations, always do the right thing, and lead by example – form the foundation of this role, guiding all actions and decisions.

This leadership position includes career growth opportunities in line with the company's ambitious expansion plans. Employees are incentivized through a bonus plan that rewards success in food safety, financial results, and customer experience. Every team member working during the bi-weekly secret shops is eligible for bonuses, reinforcing a team-focused approach to achieving operational excellence.

Five Guys is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion. It does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. The company actively seeks to increase representation of women, people of color, veterans, and individuals with disabilities across all areas, fostering a diverse and welcoming work culture. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, rapidly growing restaurant chain that invests in its people and rewards hard work with competitive compensation and benefits.
