Dough Zone is currently seeking a Restaurant General Manager to oversee the operations of all their California-based restaurants. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 per year. New joiners will start their journey as Managers in Training, receiving comprehensive training and support to develop the skills necessary for success. The role of the Restaurant General Manager is pivotal to maintaining the high standards Dough Zone is known for while driving operational excellence and business growth. This leadership position involves managing both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and superior dining experiences for every guest.

The Restaurant General Manager plays an integral role in operational leadership by leading daily restaurant operations and overseeing all staff to maintain efficiency and quality. They are responsible for driving sales and profitability by implementing operational best practices and fostering a positive work environment. Team management and development are key components of this role, including scheduling, onboarding new hires, training, coaching, and mentoring team members. The manager is also responsible for identifying and nurturing future leaders within the organization to sustain continued growth and talent development.

Quality control and guest experience are critical focuses of this role, requiring the General Manager to uphold strict food quality standards and attentively monitor service levels. Addressing guest feedback proactively ensures that customers consistently enjoy an exceptional dining experience. The Restaurant General Manager must also enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe and compliant operational environment. In addition, this role involves financial oversight by optimizing labor costs through careful staff scheduling, supporting budgeting efforts, managing inventory, and spearheading cost-saving initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant management
  • Proven experience managing multi-unit operations is a plus
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of health safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and manage budgets

Job Qualifications

  • 3 plus years experience in full-service restaurant management or related fields
  • Experience with multi-unit operation highly preferred
  • Strong leadership qualities
