The role of General Manager at Transdev, based in Oakland, CA, represents a pivotal leadership position charged with overseeing overall operational excellence and ensuring the delivery of safe and reliable transit services. The General Manager will actively manage multiple facets of the business unit including employee oversight, risk management, contract asset management, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $165,000 to $180,000 per annum alongside a robust benefits package including vacation time, sick days, holidays, 401(k) retirement plan, health insurance options, life insurance, and disability plans.

As a strategic and operational leader, the General Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with employees, clients, union partners, and the local community, fostering a collaborative environment aimed at meeting corporate and client expectations. This position requires an individual with experience managing fixed route or paratransit bus operations of similar size and complexity, along with a comprehensive understanding of transit system regulations and employment laws. The General Manager will also be responsible for staff management and development, ensuring that training and professional growth opportunities are appropriately assigned in coordination with the corporate team.
