This property caters to both leisure and business travelers, offering convenient access to major attractions such as the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld. Known for its consistent commitment to service excellence and quality accommodations, the hotel maintains a welcoming environment that balances comfort, convenience, and value. As part of a globally recognized hotel chain, this location adheres to brand standards while emphasizing personalized guest experiences that foster loyalty and repeat visits.

We are currently seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead the Best Western San Diego Zoo SeaWorld Inn & Suites. This leadership role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a proven track record in branded hotel management, particularly within Best Western properties. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the hotel, combining financial acumen and operational expertise to drive business success while maintaining the highest levels of guest satisfaction. The role demands a hands-on leader capable of fostering a culture of service, accountability, and pride among team members. This position offers a competitive base salary range of $115,000 to $120,000 annually, supplemented with an incentive plan of up to 50% tied to performance metrics and revenue goals.

Your leadership will ensure every guest interaction aligns with Best Western’s brand values and promotes service excellence. You will guide and develop your department heads and emerging leaders, shaping a team that delivers exceptional results while fostering collaboration and professional growth. Leading the Executive Committee, you will set clear objectives and ensure consistent accountability and follow-through.

Guest experience is central to your role. You will champion quality service at every level, proactively anticipating and addressing guest needs to guarantee memorable stays. By implementing targeted service initiatives, recognition programs, and incentives, you will enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty, elevating the hotel's reputation in a competitive market.

Financial expertise is critical in this role. You will take ownership of the hotel’s profit and loss statements, managing revenue streams and expense controls to optimize profitability and support sustainable growth. Your ability to analyze financial data, forecast trends, and apply RevPAR strategies will be essential in maintaining and improving the hotel’s market position. Communication plays a vital role; you will confidently present detailed operational and financial results to ownership groups, corporate partners, and internal stakeholders.

Operational excellence and asset stewardship are also key responsibilities. You will drive compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring the property maintains its physical quality and aesthetic appeal. Protecting and enhancing the asset value through rigorous maintenance and management, while pursuing year-over-year business growth, will be part of your strategic focus.

This role suits an experienced General Manager who thrives in branded environments and desires full ownership of hotel operations. Candidates who bring a strong P&L management background, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences will find this opportunity rewarding. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team in a people-first culture that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role offers significant career development opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the hotel's long-term success.
