We are currently seeking a dedicated General Manager for our Bend East Brewpub in Bend, Oregon. This full-time, exempt position reports directly to the Regional Pubs Manager and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic management of the brewpub. The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for overseeing both front of house and back of house operations, including financial management, service quality, and infrastructural maintenance. This role entails running regular staff meetings, managing broad operational matters, and maintaining a strategic operating plan that is communicated clearly to assistant managers, the Executive Chef, and all staff members. The GM will independently steer the operational success of the brewpub while maintaining close collaboration with company leadership and other functional managers to ensure cohesive and aligned business practices.

The General Manager will focus on achieving financial goals, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and fostering a positive work environment. Key responsibilities include maintaining favorable business relationships with peers, employees, vendors, and other stakeholders. The GM will maximize cost controls through effective training, monitoring, inventory management, and ensuring accurate point-of-sale pricing. Additionally, the role requires overseeing accurate and timely financial and administrative reporting and reviewing data such as order histories and sales reports to monitor profit and loss. Collaboration with the Executive Chef is crucial for maintaining pricing accuracy and inventory control. The GM will regularly inspect operations to uphold efficiency and address guest feedback to promote customer retention.

Labor management is another critical aspect of this position, involving the creation of staff schedules, managing staffing levels, and making operational decisions to stay within labor budget goals while maintaining high service standards. Providing direct leadership to the Banquet Manager is also essential, ensuring successful event execution and alignment with company objectives. This role demands strong leadership, superior communication skills, and a genuine passion for the beverage and alcohol industry. A bachelor’s degree is preferred along with at least three years of general management experience, specifically within the food service or restaurant industry. The compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000 USD annually, depending on experience. Job Duties

  • Maintain favorable business relationship with peers, staff, vendors, and other company employees
  • Maximize cost controls through training, monitoring, inventory controls, and correct POS pricing structures
  • Ensure all financial and administrative reporting is accurate and submitted according to scheduled deadlines
  • Review order history, sales reports, and other relevant pieces of data to monitor profit and loss
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to maintain accurate pricing and inventory
  • Perform regular kitchen and counter checks to ensure overall efficiency of business operations
  • Respond to guest complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to promote customer retention
  • Drive labor performance by creating schedules, managing staffing levels, and making real-time operational decisions to consistently achieve labor budget goals while maintaining an exceptional guest experience
  • Provide direct leadership and oversight to the Banquet Manager, ensuring successful event execution, team development, operational excellence, and alignment with company standards and financial objectives
