Job Description
This opportunity is with a well-established restaurant that operates within a franchised model, focusing on delivering exceptional food quality and outstanding customer service. The position available is that of a Restaurant General Manager, a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all facets of restaurant operations. This role encompasses financial performance oversight, product production quality, inventory management, personnel leadership, and sales and marketing initiatives. The General Manager ensures the restaurant operates within the operational guidelines mandated by both the owner and franchisor, aligning with corporate standards and policies.
Key responsibilities include managing all operational areas of the restaurant and making critical decisions impacting the business. The General Manager ensures the integration of PRIDE systems and routines into daily operations, which are essential to maintaining consistency and quality. Working closely with the District Manager, this role develops and achieves the restaurant’s game plan, focusing on sales, employee development, and operational improvements.
A crucial part of this role is ensuring guest service meets or exceeds company standards, cultivating an excellent customer experience. The General Manager handles customer complaints effectively, responding promptly and appropriately to uphold customer satisfaction. They also collaborate with community partners, such as local chambers and schools, to boost the restaurant’s sales performance.
Staff management is a major component, including the hiring, training, and development of assistant managers and hourly employees. The General Manager conducts orientations, provides ongoing feedback, sets performance expectations, and performs regular performance reviews. They are responsible for creating efficient schedules, ensuring proper staffing for all shifts, and managing labor costs effectively.
Financial stewardship includes managing the restaurant's Profit and Loss statements to optimize profitability. This involves controlling costs of goods sold (COGS), labor expenses, and other controllable semi-fixed expenses. The General Manager's leadership extends to fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, morale, productivity, and overall efficiency among employees.
Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to operate under pressure and multitask effectively within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Physical demands include standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, highlighting the active and hands-on nature of the role.

Job Requirements
- Three to five years of restaurant management experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven track record in management of COGS and labor
- Must have excellent customer service and employee relations skills
- Must be detail oriented with the capability to oversee all aspects of the business and multiple areas simultaneously in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant, including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have excellent customer service skills and exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude and promptness
Job Qualifications
- Three to five years of restaurant management experience preferred
- QSR experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven track record in management of COGS and labor

Job Duties
- Oversees and manages all areas of restaurant and makes final decisions on matters of importance
- Ensures that all PRIDE systems and routines are incorporated into the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Responsible for the development and achievement of the restaurant's game plan by working with their District Manager
- Ensures guest service in all areas meets company standards
- Responds to customer complaints, taking prompt and appropriate action to resolve problems and to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained
- Works with local chamber and schools to increase restaurant sales
- Staffs, trains and develops assistant managers and hourly employees through orientations, ongoing feedback, the establishment of performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews
- Responsible for effective management schedules and ensures that restaurant is properly staffed for all day parts and sales volumes
- Manages restaurant P & L to optimize manageable profit, controls COGS, labor, and controllables (semi-fixed expenses)
- Manages the entire operation of the restaurant through the development and growth of staff, sales and profitability to meet goals established in location's game plan
- Ensures the restaurant is in accordance with established company standards, policies and procedures
- Assists in the success of the restaurant by ensuring guest satisfaction through adhering to company standards for quality, value, service and cleanliness
- Maintains a positive working relationship with all restaurant team members to foster and promote a cooperative and pleasant working climate which will be conducive to maximize employee morale, productivity and efficiency
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by District Manager
