The role of Airport Lounge General Manager at Sodexo Live! presents a unique opportunity for a dynamic and experienced hospitality leader to manage a prestigious airport lounge at ATL. This position is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of outstanding food and beverage services while maintaining high standards of customer experience and operational excellence. The Airport Lounge General Manager will oversee daily food operations, financial performance, staff management, and client relationships to ensure the lounge operates smoothly and profitably. This role involves leading a dedicated team of frontline staff, motivating and mentoring them to uphold Sodexo’s quality standards and service excellence. The General Manager will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and company policies, as well as having a full understanding of profit and loss management, inventory control, and fiscal responsibilities associated with running a standalone business at a major international airport.

Job Requirements

  • minimum education requirement - bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum management experience - 5 years
  • minimum functional experience - 5 years

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • proven food and beverage management within hotels, restaurants or other upscale dining venues
  • strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively at all organizational levels
  • ability to direct and lead large teams
  • professional communication skills
  • passion for high-level customer service
  • working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems
  • experience in financial preparation and oversight

Job Duties

  • have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships
  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly) staff
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs
  • be fully versed in profit and loss, inventory and fiscal responsibilities of operating a stand alone business
