Job Description

Aramark Sports & Entertainment is a distinguished division of Aramark, a global leader in food, facilities, and uniform services. Known for its commitment to delivering exceptional experiences, Aramark Sports & Entertainment specializes in providing top-tier food and beverage solutions in sports and entertainment venues. With operations spanning millions of guests across 15 countries, the company has earned a reputation for excellence, innovation, and deep client partnerships. The organization is driven by a mission rooted in service and united by purpose, striving to create positive impacts for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. At Aramark, diversity and inclusion are fundamental, ensuring equal employment opportunities and fostering an environment free from discrimination based on race, gender, age, and other protected characteristics.

The opportunity to join Aramark Sports & Entertainment as a General Manager at the Phoenix Convention Center represents a dynamic leadership role with a focus on elevating the food and beverage operations at Aventura Catering. This is a salaried, bonus-eligible position that demands a strong operational leader to oversee multiple contracted services generating multi-million dollar revenue streams. The successful candidate will spearhead the management of food and beverage services—including concessions, catering, and premium dining offerings—in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This includes planning and executing large-scale sports events, concerts, catering functions, and other special venue events, requiring a hands-on and strategic approach to leadership.

As General Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for your operation, ensuring financial goals are met alongside high client and guest satisfaction. Your role will involve managing a large team of salaried and hourly managers across multiple units and diverse concepts. You will work closely with senior leadership, providing insights and strategies that fuel business growth. Key to success in this role is an ability to foster strong client relationships, lead with a vision aligned to client needs, and champion team development. You will also be responsible for innovating and creating new revenue streams by expanding and enhancing existing food, concessions, catering, and premium service concepts.

This position calls for a leader with a proven track record in managing large venue or multi-unit operations, adept at financial analytics and performance forecasting. Experience in premium and concessions management is preferred, as is a passion for food and beverage that translates into identifying and developing successful, innovative concepts. The ideal candidate must be comfortable leading in a complex, dynamic environment, with a keen focus on entrepreneurship, guest service excellence, and operational safety. Flexibility in working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required to meet event and operational demands.

Aramark values employees who are proactive and adaptable, willing to step in hands-on to support their teams and operations directly. This role also includes physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing, and may require the use of uniforms and personal protective equipment for safety. Joining Aramark means becoming part of a globally respected enterprise committed to employee growth and community impact, with substantial opportunities for professional development and career advancement. If you are passionate about driving exceptional food and beverage experiences in a high-profile venue, this role offers a rewarding career path loaded with potential.
