Fresh Dining Concepts is a prominent franchisee within the GoTo Foods trademark family, operating numerous Auntie Anne's locations across the United States. With a strong commitment to operational excellence, brand integrity, and delivering outstanding guest experiences, Fresh Dining Concepts has established itself as a leader in the food service industry. The company pride itself on fostering a culture of growth and development where talented leaders can thrive and contribute to the overall success of the brand. Operating in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, Fresh Dining Concepts emphasizes maintaining high-quality standards and leveraging a customer-centric approach to enhance brand loyalty and customer satisfaction. As a part of the larger GoTo Foods network, Fresh Dining Concepts benefits from the extensive resources, innovative strategies, and support systems that empower each location to reach its full potential.
The General Manager role at Auntie Anne's (Fresh Dining Concepts) plays a critical part in the success of individual store locations. These leaders are accountable for the comprehensive operation and financial performance, along with the people leadership and adherence to brand standards within their assigned locations. General Managers oversee teams ranging from 10 to 40 employees, managing the day-to-day activities to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. They serve as role models for core leadership values including integrity and trust, ethics and values, customer focus, and action orientation, which drive the overall team culture and operational effectiveness. This position requires adeptness in balancing multiple responsibilities such as staffing, team development, performance management, and operational quality.
General Managers actively participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and retaining team members who align with the brand and company standards, ensuring the store maintains appropriate staffing during varying business volumes. Leadership in training and team development is vital; these managers conduct both individual and group training programs focused on product knowledge, service standards, policies, and sales techniques, while coaching and counseling team members as needed to foster personal and professional growth. Operational excellence is achieved through regular analysis of store performance, compliance auditing, setting clear job expectations, and efficiently allocating resources to meet business needs.
Performance management is another significant aspect of the role, where General Managers plan, monitor, and evaluate employee performance, conduct performance reviews, and manage promotions and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner. Creating a positive and engaging team culture is paramount, as General Managers promote the F.I.B.E.R. values (Fun, Integrity, Belief, Excellence, and Results), holding monthly and quarterly team meetings to sustain motivation and pride in the brand. They demonstrate ownership mindset and accountability for delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining financial health and operational standards. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, financial acumen, and the ability to adapt to evolving business challenges by leading change efforts effectively. The General Manager is a pivotal figure who drives store success and ensures alignment with the Auntie Anne's brand promise and Fresh Dining Concepts’ mission.
