With a strong emphasis on community involvement and employee growth, the company continues to expand its footprint in the foodservice industry, making it an attractive place to build a career in restaurant management.
The General Manager (GM) role at TSFR is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of a restaurant location, as well as managing human capital comprising managers and hourly team members. Reporting to the Area Director, the GM ensures the restaurant operates efficiently, maintains high standards of food quality and service, and upholds a vibrant and positive work culture aligned with TSFR's Roadmap, Vision, Mission, and Core Values. Effective workforce management is critical, with duties encompassing recruitment, comprehensive training, ongoing performance assessment, and coaching of managers and team members. The GM is accountable for maintaining adequate inventory levels, enforcing sanitation and safety policies, and ensuring timely equipment maintenance.
Financial oversight is equally important in this role. The GM manages cash handling procedures, budget adherence, and cost control measures related to food and liquor inventories. They collaborate with the Area Director to analyze business systems and implement improvements supporting profit maximization. Administrative responsibilities include accurate and prompt submission of operational paperwork and regulatory compliance adherence.
Strong leadership qualities such as high stress tolerance, adaptability, motivation, and accountability are essential for success in this dynamic position. The GM is expected to cultivate a guest-obsessed culture and be a role model demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and expertise in store-related technology.
Candidates for this position typically hold a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, hospitality, or restaurant management, or an equivalent combination of professional experience. They bring at least seven years of multi-unit restaurant management experience with direct profit and loss accountability, preferably in a national chain environment. Completion of Apple II Management training and a proven record of achieving business goals are required.
The job demands physical stamina to work in fast-paced environments, including long periods of standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operational duties in both kitchen and service areas. Mental capabilities such as problem-solving, effective communication, and mathematical skills are also necessary to navigate the diverse challenges of the role successfully.
TSFR values diversity and inclusivity and provides reasonable accommodations to enable all qualified individuals to perform essential job functions without undue hardship. The company reserves the right to modify job duties and responsibilities in alignment with business needs. This General Manager opportunity offers a rewarding career path for forward-thinking leaders eager to contribute to a thriving restaurant brand and achieve both operational excellence and strong community engagement.
