Job Description

TSFR, Schostak Family Restaurants, is a renowned company in the restaurant industry known for its commitment to quality service, operational excellence, and strong company values. TSFR operates a variety of restaurant locations and prides itself on fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with their Core Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Core Values. The company emphasizes leadership development and operational success, making it a great workplace for professionals seeking advancement in restaurant management careers.

The General Manager (GM) position at TSFR is an essential leadership role responsible for overseeing both operational and financial performance within a single restaurant location. This role involves managing both Managers and Hourly Team Members to deliver exceptional guest experiences and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Under the guidance of an Area Director, the GM ensures that all company standards are met or exceeded, including service quality, safety, sanitation, inventory control, and community involvement.

The GM is responsible for creating a welcoming, efficient, and well-organized environment, adhering strictly to guidelines for product preparation and presentation while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. Building a positive culture through the Vision and Mission statements is crucial, as is fostering a guest-obsessed mentality among all team members. The GM also leads recruitment, training, and performance management initiatives to develop a highly skilled and motivated staff, utilizing tools such as monthly reviews, written evaluations, and regular coaching.

Financial responsibilities are a significant aspect of this role, including asset control, compliance with laws and regulations, budget management, service contract oversight, and capital expenditure monitoring. The GM prepares and submits detailed paperwork and reports regularly to the Area Director, participates actively in local community activities to increase sales, and implements incentives and promotions to engage team members and guests.

Prospective candidates for this role typically hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality, or a related discipline or have equivalent professional experience. The ideal applicant will have significant multi-unit restaurant management experience, preferably in a national chain, and have completed Apple II Management training. They must show exemplary leadership skills, superior business acumen, and the ability to drive change and maintain high-performance teams in a fast-paced environment.

The GM will be expected to demonstrate physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and other duties throughout their shift and accommodate the mental demands of managing a dynamic team while balancing operational priorities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement, including the potential to progress to an Assistant General Manager or similar leadership roles within the company.

Joining TSFR as a General Manager means becoming part of a company that values leadership, continuous improvement, community engagement, and operational excellence in the restaurant industry. TSFR supports its employees with ongoing development and training programs and encourages a supportive team culture focused on guest satisfaction and business success.
