The role of General Manager at Alliance Hospitality Group is a comprehensive leadership position that requires oversight of restaurant operations with an unwavering focus on quality and consistency. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of general manager experience
  • experience in fine dining restaurant settings
  • ability to work irregular hours, shifts, weekends, special events, and holidays
  • ability to manage physical demands of the role including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in hot and cold environments
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • familiarity with basic computer applications and POS systems
  • compliance with California State labor and health regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of general manager experience in a service-oriented position within a fine dining restaurant
  • strong customer service skills with the ability to provide personalized recommendations to guests
  • strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • strong food and beverage knowledge
  • ability to work in a three-meal period restaurant
  • understanding of fine-dining and fast casual experience

Job Duties

  • Execute and maintain quality and consistency of food and service with full adherence to standards
  • provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere with attentive, detailed, friendly, and courteous service
  • understand the market and surrounding areas including restaurants, businesses, and hotels
  • regularly measure and evaluate service through company service audits and leveraging guest and employee feedback
  • maintain the highest level of safety, security, sanitation, and cleanliness of facility
  • oversee repairs and maintenance
  • use basic computer applications and POS systems
  • drive all standards in day-to-day operations
  • inspire, inspect, and inform restaurant personnel daily
  • develop management team to develop people and manage systems
  • give managers meaningful and challenging work assignments
  • conduct quarterly management and staff evaluations
  • hire great talent and terminate staff as needed
  • develop plans for continuous improvement in service levels
  • lead and drive the restaurant's PR, marketing, and sales efforts and tactics
  • confront poor performance while recognizing and rewarding good performance
  • maintain rapport with vendors and work with multiple owner wants and needs
  • instill a culture of excellence and inspire confidence
  • implement efficient and productive systems and processes in all departments
  • comply with California State labor, Department of Health, and OSHA standards
  • build a culture of financial responsibility including sales tracking, labor, waste, breakage, tip reporting, and cost management
  • accurately process and submit financial documents
  • develop and enforce waste and labor tracking protocols
  • control cash, credit, and other receipts following company procedures
  • assist in meeting or surpassing P&L expectations
  • approve and track all spending
  • hold all department managers accountable for costs and budgets
  • seek better efficiency and productivity
