Job Description
Big City Wings is a renowned chain of casual dining restaurants recognized for its vibrant atmosphere, delicious wings, and a variety of American-style dishes. Operating across multiple locations, Big City Wings prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences through a combination of quality food, outstanding service, and a welcoming environment. Known for creating a fun and energetic game day atmosphere especially during major sporting events like the Super Bowl and playoffs, the restaurant caters to both casual diners and sports enthusiasts alike. The company emphasizes teamwork, community involvement, and maintaining high standards in sanitation, food quality, and responsible service. With a commitment to employee development and customer satisfaction, Big City Wings has established itself as a preferred destination for wing lovers and casual dining patrons throughout its locations.
The role of the Restaurant Manager at Big City Wings is pivotal in maintaining operational excellence and ensuring a top-tier dining experience for guests. This full-time position reports directly to a Regional Supervisor, Director of Operations, or Owner, offering a leadership opportunity within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations including sales achievements, cost control, employee staffing and retention, food quality, cleanliness, and compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. This comprehensive leadership position requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities ranging from managing daily operations and staff scheduling to financial oversight and customer service enhancement. The manager will also play a critical role in employee training and development, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture that aligns with Big City Wings’ mission and values.
In this leadership role, the manager will delegate tasks effectively, ensure timely completion of training programs, and maintain adherence to company policies and procedures. Monitoring compliance with health, fire, and labor regulations is key, along with maintaining food inventory, budgeting, and payroll management. The Restaurant Manager must also be skilled in resolving guest complaints, managing cash handling and reconciliation, and coordinating staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Additional duties include ordering supplies, managing equipment maintenance, organizing promotional campaigns, and ensuring the restaurant's financial goals are met through careful analysis and adjustments. The manager also facilitates communication between staff and upper management, ensuring smooth operations and consistent service quality.
Given the nature of the restaurant industry and the active involvement required, this role involves physical demands such as standing for long hours, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving restaurant furniture to accommodate guest needs. Candidates must have the ability to work every day of the week including holidays to support the restaurant’s operational demands.
Overall, the Restaurant Manager position at Big City Wings offers an exciting career opportunity for proactive, organized, and customer-focused leaders looking to thrive in the hospitality sector. The role offers prospects for professional growth and the chance to be part of a well-respected brand known for its community presence and high standards of service.
