Job Requirements
- Ability to monitor labor by anticipating business activity and staffing accordingly
- ability to serve guests through verbal face-to-face interactions
- positive attitude and professional demeanor
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- alcohol awareness certification completion upon employment
- valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Serve Safe Certificate obtained within 30 days of employment
- willingness to work varying schedules including holidays, weekends, and shifts
- clean appearance and professional demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management desired
- TABC certification completed prior to training
- five or more years of related and progressive food and beverage experience
- three years as a manager in a similar setting
Job Duties
- Embodies the shared values of Hotel Drover
- assist in providing guidance and direction to ensure overall departmental success
- manage, lead, develop and hold managers/supervisors accountable in all food and beverage areas within Hotel Drover
- responds to guest inquiries and coordinates special arrangements and requests
- maintain quality goals through observation, reports, and guest comments
- respond effectively to internal audit reports and create action plans
- stay informed of regional, local, and national trends
- collaborate with marketing team on F&B advertising and public relations
- participate in hiring and train new team members
- assist in achieving budgeted revenues and maximizing profitability
- hold team members accountable and document accordingly
- develop and implement new menu ideas, wine list, pricing, and marketing programs
- ensure guests receive outstanding and consistent service
- improve guest satisfaction and handle complaints
- ensure cleanliness and proper setup of dining and kitchen areas
- maintain inventory and place orders as needed
- prepare and submit liquor and supply orders
- ensure compliance with food handling, TABC, sanitation and health guidelines
- follow safety policies and address safety issues promptly
- create schedules, process payroll, and approve time off
- perform other duties as assigned
