Job Description

Our client operates within the hotel industry and is seeking to engage individuals who are not simply caretakers but are visionary operators ready to take full ownership of their hotel. This opportunity is not a conventional job but a business you run, where you have the autonomy and responsibility to drive results, build a high-performing team, and ensure the smooth daily operations of the hotel. The compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary range of $110,000 to $130,000 per year, plus a bonus plan that can reach up to 20% of your salary, paid quarterly based on performance. However, it should be noted that this role does not offer traditional benefits such as health, dental, vision, or 401(k).

In this role, you will embody the position of a CEO of the building, where everything from revenue and costs to guest experience and team culture runs through you. This is an ownership role with direct accountability for the hotel's reputation within the marketplace. You will not merely oversee operations but truly own the results, which means you are deeply involved in the financial aspects, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team dynamics every day. Success in this role looks like walking the property and knowing all the crucial details—your numbers on a daily basis, your staff by name, and your guests personally. Your hotel will run clean, efficient, and consistent operations, hitting budgets and maximizing margins.

When challenges arise, you and your team will tackle them head-on without escalating problems unnecessarily. The role demands a leader who drives results without excuses, controls costs smartly, adheres strictly to budgets covering labor, supplies, utilities, and overall operations, and owns transparent reporting practices with no surprises. Maintenance and upkeep of the property are paramount; the hotel must remain in excellent shape without deferred maintenance. By setting standards for cleanliness, product quality, and service consistency, you ensure guests receive outstanding experiences that foster loyalty.

Hiring and developing the right talent is a core responsibility, as you build a team that cares, gets trained properly, and meets accountability standards. You will foster a no-drama, no-passenger work culture where every team member contributes purposefully. Additionally, being present and visible onsite enables you to quickly solve guest issues professionally and effectively, turning problematic encounters into loyal customer relationships.

Local leadership is critical as well; you will regularly engage with the surrounding community, ensuring the hotel is an integrated and recognized part of the market. This role is tailor-made for candidates with previous experience as a General Manager or a strong Assistant General Manager poised to take the reins. A deep understanding of profit and loss statements, labor models, and cost control is essential. You must possess leadership skills that go beyond scheduling—being able to hire, coach, and develop personnel effectively.

This position requires someone who remains calm under pressure, makes sound, swift decisions, and manages their operation independently without needing constant oversight. Key traits include ownership, direct communication, problem-solving, and a relentless drive to deliver measurable results. Unlike typical corporate roles, this job offers clear expectations, real accountability, and the genuine opportunity to run the hotel autonomously. It's a unique chance for someone who thinks like an owner, leads from the front, and has the passion and determination to win every day.
