In this leadership position, General Managers are responsible for the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and development. Chipotle provides robust training tools and resources, encouraging managers to mentor crew members, shift leaders, and apprentices. The role demands strong operational skills to oversee scheduling, profit and loss control, sales forecasting, and marketing efforts that engage the local community and drive sales. Additionally, General Managers must ensure that dining areas remain clean, food safety standards are upheld, and compliance with operational policies is maintained. This role involves hands-on work across lunch, dinner, and weekend shifts, requiring flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Prior Restaurant management experience is essential, with expertise in scheduling, P&L management, food safety compliance, sales forecasting, and recruiting. Creativity in marketing and community engagement is also valuable. The physical demands include standing and walking for extended hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varied temperature conditions.

Compensation for this role ranges from $55,000 to $77,500 annually, with eligibility for quarterly cash bonuses based on performance.
