The role of General Manager for this new Hyatt Regency hotel is a senior executive position responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations. The General Manager will lead the entire team across multiple departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, Human Resources, Security, and Events. This position requires a hands-on leader capable of balancing operational excellence with strategic vision. The individual will be instrumental in establishing Hyatt's brand standards and Desert Hospitality Management's Standard Operating Procedures from the ground up. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction and employee engagement.

The General Manager will play a critical role in driving key financial metrics such as Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR), Average Daily Rate (ADR), Occupancy, Gross Operating Profit (GOP), and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA). Success in this role is measured by strong financial performance alongside exceptional guest service delivery and team leadership. Additionally, the General Manager will foster a culture of safety, inclusion, integrity, accountability, and high performance throughout the hotel. They are responsible for developing departmental leaders by providing coaching, succession planning, and holding individuals accountable to performance standards.

Given that this position involves opening a new property, the role demands a leader ready to undertake significant challenges, including long hours and the physical demands of overseeing hotel operations daily. This includes moving throughout the property to engage with staff, guests, and other stakeholders, ensuring operational fluidity and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hotel leadership, preferably with a background in Hyatt Regency or equivalent upscale full-service hotels. They will possess strong financial acumen, budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and labor management capabilities.
