The General Manager at Next Door by Wegmans plays a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of this upscale restaurant. This leadership role requires not only extensive experience in managing high-volume fine dining or upscale restaurant settings but also a genuine passion for hospitality, food, and beverage. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations to ensure a superior guest experience that encourages repeat visits and builds client loyalty. The position combines hands-on team management, including training, interviewing, and developing employees, with strategic operational oversight such as managing inventory, private dining, and financial performance. Job Requirements

  • Experience as a general manager in a high-volume fine dining or upscale restaurant or hotel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Genuine interest in and understanding of food, beverage, and hospitality offerings
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing P&L performance, hiring and developing teams, and private event execution
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Availability for morning, afternoon, and evening shifts including weekends
  • Ability to work full time

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a general manager in a high-volume fine dining or upscale restaurant or hotel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Genuine interest in and understanding of food, beverage, and hospitality offerings
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing P&L performance, hiring and developing teams, and private event execution
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience as a general manager or assistant general manager in a fine-dining or upscale restaurant in a resort or hotel setting preferred
  • Experience working with a POS/Product Management System preferred
  • Ability to effectively deal with all levels of people
