Village Inn - Walker Group is a renowned and expansive Restaurant Franchise Hospitality Group with a rich history spanning six decades and three generations of a dedicated family. The company operates over 40 locations across 11 states, showcasing a widespread presence and influence in the industry. Known for its employee-centric philosophy, Village Inn - Walker Group emphasizes friendly service and a positive work environment. This approach aims to create a beneficial cycle where satisfied and well-supported employees contribute to delivering a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests. The group's long-standing reputation and commitment to quality have made it a trusted name in the restaurant franchise sector, fostering community connections and promoting sustainable growth.

The Restaurant General Manager position at Village Inn - Walker Group is a critical leadership role responsible for the overall management of day-to-day restaurant operations. This role demands a versatile manager who can oversee staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain operational efficiency all at once. With competitive compensation ranging from $48,000 to $60,000 per year, this full-time role includes significant management responsibilities such as financial performance oversight, staff development, and strict adherence to health and safety standards.

As the operational leader, the Restaurant General Manager will direct comprehensive restaurant operations to ensure optimal performance across all service areas. Using advanced technology tools, the manager will streamline operations, improve guest satisfaction, and guarantee seamless service delivery. This position also involves developing and implementing effective sales and profitability strategies to maintain and grow the restaurant’s market standing.

Leadership and staff management are central to this role. The general manager will lead, inspire, and train employees to cultivate a culture of high performance and exceptional customer service. Managing shift operations, including scheduling, staff training, and performance evaluation, is key to creating and maintaining a positive and productive workplace. Ensuring financial health is another core element, as the manager oversees budgeting, profit and loss management, cash handling, and financial reporting. Cost control measures include managing inventory and conducting accurate liquor inventory assessments to track variances.

The general manager also takes an active role in enhancing the guest experience by handling customer complaints promptly and effectively, collaborating with kitchen staff to develop menus that meet market demand and adapt to seasonal trends, and monitoring customer feedback for continuous improvement. Compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, is strictly enforced. Regulatory and administrative responsibilities include ensuring full compliance with all local, state, and federal laws related to health, safety, and employment practices. The general manager will also address HR issues and communicate on urgent matters, continually updating compliance protocols and staff training to uphold industry standards.

Beyond operational duties, the general manager will engage in community events, fostering strong relationships with local businesses and stakeholders. Efficient management of private event segments is expected to enhance service delivery and guest satisfaction further. Flexibility and responsiveness in leadership are critical as the manager may also be required to perform other duties as assigned. Village Inn - Walker Group is looking for dynamic leaders who are committed to driving excellence and growth in a supportive and vibrant restaurant environment.
