Job Description
Lucky Strike Entertainment is one of the largest and most successful location-based entertainment companies globally, renowned for its diverse portfolio that includes 360 upscale and traditional bowling centers, five expansive waterparks, a large amusement park in California, and 10 upscale Boomer's Family Entertainment Centers in major markets. Founded in 1997 with a single bowling center, Lucky Strike has dramatically reshaped the entertainment industry and expanded into a powerhouse employing over 14,000 associates and generating nearly $1.4 billion in annual revenue. Their commitment to hospitality fuels their mission to deliver memorable experiences for guests on every visit, making them a leader in the entertainment and hospitality space.
Joining Lucky Strike means becoming part of a team of passionate winners dedicated to excellence and innovation. The company values talent and commitment, offering its managers abundant rewards and sustainable career growth opportunities. The employment is full-time with a competitive salary of $70,000 to $75,000 per year plus bonuses, including performance-based incentives and a comprehensive total rewards package. This package features healthcare coverage and a variety of other benefits tailored to support the well-being and success of their management team.
The role of a General Manager at Lucky Strike Entertainment is pivotal. As the leader of a center, the General Manager oversees the guest experience, team dynamics, financial performance, and the overall culture. This role requires hands-on leadership, where managing from the floor and creating an environment where guests and employees want to return are critical to success. A General Manager is responsible for leading all center operations, including bowling, arcade, food and beverage, bar, and events. This requires flexibility to adapt to any role throughout the day based on business needs.
A key part of the General Manager's duties is driving daily sales through direct guest engagement, successful event execution, and effective marketing initiatives. Additionally, building and developing high-performing teams across every department is essential, fostering a culture rooted in accountability, empowerment, and genuine hospitality. Setting performance expectations and consistently achieving results in sales, operations, and guest satisfaction fall under the General Manager's purview.
Financial accountability is critical, with full ownership of P&L performance, including labor, cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory, and cost controls. Ensuring that the facility, attractions, kitchen, bar, and event spaces remain clean, operational, and guest-ready at all times is also necessary to maintain the high standards of Lucky Strike. This leadership role demands a visible, floor-first presence especially during peak periods, to both motivate staff and enhance the guest experience.
The ideal candidate for this role will have significant leadership experience in high-volume, guest-focused venues such as entertainment centers, hospitality, or full-service restaurants. Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and meeting financial targets, along with fluency in managing full P&L responsibilities, including budgeting and labor optimization, is essential. Experience building and developing leadership teams from the ground up is highly valued. Flexibility in scheduling, including working nights, weekends, and holidays, is required to meet the demands of the business and ensure operational excellence.
