The role of the General Manager (GM) at La La Land is a full-time leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations. This pivotal role involves ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and robust team engagement. Reporting directly to the Area Manager, the GM will provide hands-on leadership, balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day management to drive the business forward. The General Manager leads a team of direct reports, setting the tone for an inclusive and high-performing culture focused on delivering outstanding guest service.

Key responsibilities for the GM include leading, coaching, and inspiring store managers and team members to foster growth, engagement, and excellence. By implementing and maintaining operational processes, standard operating procedures, and brand guidelines, the GM ensures a consistent and joyful customer experience. The GM also oversees financial and business management duties, such as budgeting, labor cost control, inventory management, and analyzing operational data for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
a minimum of 3-5 years of operations management experience, coffee/tea beverage industry preferred
previous experience managing a team of direct reports required
willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
ability to stand for prolonged periods
ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

implement and maintain operational processes, SOPs, and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across shifts

drive store performance by managing budgets, labor costs, and key financial metrics
control financials through budgeting, inventory, and cost management
