Job Description
Crash Champions is one of the fastest-growing and most exciting brands in the collision repair industry in the United States. Founded in 1999 as a single repair center in Chicago by industry veteran and 2023 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Midwest award winner Matt Ebert, Crash Champions has expanded to over 650 high-quality, state-of-the-art locations across 38 states. As the largest founder-led multi-shop operator (MSO), the company specializes in superior collision repair services and also operates the Crash Champions LUXE | EV Certified brand, focusing on highline and luxury electric vehicle repair centers. For over 25 years, Crash Champions' vision has been deeply rooted in the principle of putting People First, emphasizing the importance of delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a supportive team environment. The company culture encourages growth, innovation, and excellence, making it a leader in the automotive repair industry.
The role available is an Operations Management position with Crash Champions, a regular full-time opportunity based on-site (no remote work). It involves overseeing and managing the entire collision repair shop operations to ensure high-quality service delivery, efficiency, and profitability. The compensation range for this role is competitive, with an annual salary between $75,000 and $128,700, plus the potential for performance-based bonuses. This position is critical to maintaining the company’s standards of quality and customer satisfaction while supporting team members and driving shop productivity.
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing both the front and back of the shop, from vehicle intake through to delivery. Your duties include meeting or exceeding location revenue goals and key performance indicators (KPIs), assigning repair jobs to technicians, prioritizing vehicle repairs, supporting teammates during busy periods, monitoring production goals and quality standards, managing payroll and staffing tasks, overseeing daily production flow, and writing direct repair program (DRP) compliant estimates when necessary. A significant part of the role also involves recruiting, coaching, and developing team members to build a skilled, motivated workforce dedicated to excellence.
Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of the collision repair industry, including insurance processes for multiple carriers, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated leadership abilities to collaborate across teams and meet shared goals. Proficiency with estimating software, especially CCC ONE Total Repair Software, and a solid grasp of technology are required. Holding a valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. The Operations Manager will operate in alignment with Crash Champions and I-Car quality standards, ensuring all repairs are billed accurately while maintaining a safe and compliant workplace environment.
Crash Champions offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee wellbeing and financial security. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, group life insurance, disability coverage, a 401k retirement plan with company matching, referral bonuses, and paid holidays. The company is committed to competitive compensation and continuous career development, making this role an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated industry professional eager to thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment.
