The Restaurant Manager role is fundamental to the continued success and growth of this organization. This position is responsible for overseeing all operations within an assigned restaurant to ensure the achievement of planned sales and profitability targets. The Restaurant Manager implements, manages, and enforces company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards to maintain exceptional guest satisfaction and a motivating work environment. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, this leadership role requires direct supervision of all employees including subordinate managers. The successful candidate will be accountable for all aspects of restaurant operations and administration, from staffing and training to financial management and facility upkeep.
Key responsibilities include managing recruitment, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring that all employees receive proper development and training to perform their roles effectively. The manager is tasked with monitoring food safety standards, ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols, and maintaining inventory levels in alignment with company guidelines. They must also oversee the scheduling and productivity of the team to meet service standards while controlling costs through efficient operations. Engagement with guests, vendors, and community stakeholders is critical to this role, making strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- two years previous experience in a management role preferably in the food service industry
- ability to stand for extended periods without breaks
- experience working in environments with exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors
- physical ability to bend, reach, walk, and communicate effectively with guests and vendors
- capability to operate a cash register
- ability to reach heights of approximately 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet
- high level of mobility and flexibility
- ability to fit through 30-inch wide openings
- capacity to work irregular hours under heavy pressure and stress
- ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- strength to carry trays weighing 20 pounds over distances up to 30 feet
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- some college or degree preferred
- minimum two years management experience preferably in food service
- proven leadership and team management skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- proficiency in financial management and reporting
- strong organizational and communication skills
- ability to train and develop staff
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
- experience with inventory control and operational procedures
- ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple tasks
Job Duties
- Manage daily restaurant operations to achieve sales and profit targets
- supervise and develop all restaurant employees including subordinate managers
- recruit, interview, select, train, and orient new hires
- conduct annual employee performance reviews and recommend merit increases
- maintain ServSafe certification and complete required training courses
- ensure proper food preparation, portioning, and presentation following safety and hygiene standards
- monitor food temperatures to prevent food-borne illnesses
- schedule and staff to meet productivity and service standards
- manage facility maintenance, safety, and sanitation compliance
- oversee inventory management to optimize ordering and usage
- identify and resolve operational issues to sustain guest satisfaction
- prepare and review financial reports including payroll, cash, food costs, and expenses
- attend regional meetings and present updates to management and peers
